What Is The Difference Between A "Registered" And "Trading" Address For Uk Companies?

The only address that a UK company is obliged to provide to Companies House is their "Registered Address".  The registered office address is important because it is the address to which all official communications will be sent by UK Companies House.

In some cases however, a company may choose to give its Auditor or Accountant's address as its registered address rather than where the company actually carries out its main business activities (i.e. the "Trading" Address).

OneSource understands the importance of knowing a companies Trading Address (rather than the Registered Address) and has almost 100% population of Trading Addresses for UK companies.  The Company Summary report will clearly show whether the address provided is the Trading or Registered address.

When building a Custom Table it is also possible to include an "Address Type" field which will also clearly show what type of address has been included.
