Uploading Lists and adding Contacts in Avention

Uploading a list in the Avention system will allow a user to input a list of companies (from a CSV format file) into Avention, and begin to use Avention’ s advanced filter options to uncover new opportunities within the list. Excellent for individuals working with named accounts, and want to understand those accounts in a new way using Avention Technology.

To upload a list into the Avention system, simply click on my Lists from the top menu bar, and then select view all from the drop down menu. 

On the My Lists Page you can select the Upload a New List button located to the left of the page.

The system will require a CSV format document with required columns: Company Name, City, and State. (The system will also accept AVID numbers and UK Reg. Number as alternatives)

Limit 1000 records per uploaded list.

The list will appear as a Static List, and can be pinned to the desktop for quick reference.

Manipulating your newly uploaded list

Utilizing the Companies by List Filter under Company Type will allow you to display a list and add additional filters to it. 

To add the Companies by List to you filter options, under advanced search page, select configure filters:

In the new pop up window, to the left select Company Type under attributes. Then to the right find companies by list and check it off.

Now that Companies by list filter is available we can select the contacts we would want to find at those companies in our list.

Under Advanced Search, click on contacts to the left, and under contact type, select the filter options that will yield best results for your need, Job Function (to target a particular department) or contact level for example.
