What Search Terms Can Be Used In Avention?

To search for a phrase – and return results with the words adjacent to each other.

“data breach” will only return results with data breach. It will not return just data or just breach, or data security breach

Remove a term from search results. Can be used in any free text field, for example “Named Account”

When looking at contact search results, type ‘-operations’ into ‘Title Contains’ to remove any contacts that have the word operations in their title.

Signifies ‘or’. This can be used in conceptual search or in any free text field with spaces around the pipe.

Crowdsourcing | Crowdsourced will return results for both words.

‘wild card’ This will return results that include the search term and anything before or after (indicated by the *)

Crowdsourc* will return results such as crowdsourcing, crowdsourced, crowdsource, etc.

*breach will return data breach, information breach, security breach, etc.

Signifies ‘and’ use to link search terms restricted by “” and to restrict multiple results

Conceptual search for “crowdsourcing”+”data breach” will show companies that are involved in BOTH conversations

Typing ‘-Target+-Marshalls’ into named accounts will remove results with either Target or Marshalls in the title.

()

Used to order searching. () are grouped together.

A conceptual search for (Crowdsourcing| collaboration)+”data breach” will return results that are involved in the discussion of crowdsourcing or collaboration but also involved in the discussion of ‘data breach’
