Let’s get started by going to the blue navigation bar at the top of the screen and selecting “Companies”. From the drop-down menu, select “Advanced”.
As you can see, I have five geographic tabs at the top of the screen: Global, US/Canada, United Kingdom, Europe and Asia. Please note that the number of geographic tabs available will depend on your organisation’s OneSource subscription.
I am going to build a customised company list from the Global Tab to include 3 companies; "Tesco PLC", "British Airways" and "SAP".
From the “Company” search variable, enter in the first company name –“British Airways”, then click on “Run Search”. This results in approx 120 companies that have “British Airways” in their name. We are now going to click on “View Results” to see these companies.
I am going to select the company that I want and remove the rest by using the “Remove Unselected” functionality (found at the top of the list of companies). I am now going to add my second company by clicking on the “Add Companies” button (on the right hand side of the screen) and entering “SAP”. I will choose the relevant company and click on “Add to List”. I will repeat this process for “Tesco PLC”.
I can save my results by clicking on the “Save Results” button and give it an appropriate name.
Finally, I can export my results to Excel or PDF.
